What we collect and why

Quote requests. When you send a quote request we receive your name, company, email, phone number (optional) and the fabric details you enter. We use them only to quote and fill your order.

The plant assistant. The chat assistant is an AI. What you type is sent to Anthropic, the AI company that runs it, so it can answer. We do not save chat conversations. Your browser keeps the conversation only until you close the tab. If you ask the assistant to send a quote request, it emails us the details you confirm, plus the messages you typed in the chat.

Visit counts. A small visitor counter records the page address, the page you came from, the page title, your browser type, your approximate country, and a scrambled visitor code that resets every day. It sets no cookies.

Our servers briefly hold your IP address in memory to limit spam. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

Who receives it

• Anthropic receives what you type into the plant assistant.
• SendGrid delivers quote requests by email to our plant inbox.
• Vercel hosts this website and its form and chat functions, and like any host sees your IP address and browser details.
• alcock.ai, a service run by our owner, runs the visitor counter.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so Google sees your IP address and browser details.

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept in our email as business records for as long as we need them to serve you, or until you ask us to delete them. Chats are not kept by us. Anthropic and our other providers keep data under their own policies. Visit counts are kept for site statistics and are not tied to your name.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, to delete, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This is a business website for buyers of industrial fabric. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
