Aircraft-maker and SAE material specs
Aerospace coated fabrics
Flame-resistant coated nylon and glass for insulation-blanket facings, liners and interior covers.
Beyond the MIL specs, we build to aircraft-maker and SAE material specs for flame-resistant coated fabric. Our Aeronel line is a lightweight, flame-resistant coated nylon of 2.5 to 3.5 oz/yd², made as facing fabric for aircraft insulation blankets.
Flame packages are formulated for FAR 25.853, the FAA's interior flammability rule. For coated fabric that means the 12-second vertical burn in 14 CFR Part 25, Appendix F, Part I.
Two chloroprene grades, LAC 26-871 and BMS 8-7A, return with our 2027 waterborne program after customer requalification.
